Students! All information that you share with a counselor is confidential, however, there are some limits to this. For example, if you are threatening to harm yourself or someone else or if there is suspected abuse, we are mandated by law to report it. All students have the right to terminate individual counseling at any time unless it is part of a written contract or court mandated. Counselors are sometimes asked to provide information to insurance companies, courts, or agencies.
