Art Club

Come show your creativity!

Supervised by Mrs. Purcell, the Art Club has been functioning in the Newaygo Country for at least twenty-five years creating new masterpieces and training the future Rambrants of our time. You can be of any grade in the high school and you need not be in art to join. The club gets together every Tuesday from after school to about an hour and a half later to expand, experience and express yourself in various medians of art.

Being a part of the community is extremely important to the club and it's supervisor. Annually, the members work toward creating beautiful antique bowls that are then contributed to an NCCS dinner to raise money. Also, within the art classes, Mrs. Purcell brings community artists to show techniques they use on different medias. I assume, she does the same for the club.

The few young artists who can't seem to get enough of the arts enjoy experimenting in all sorts of medias. Such as candle making, pottery, clay, sketches. antique bowls, and more. Most of which is done individually and at your own pace. When these young people do work together, fun is to be had with human sculptures and awesome looking murals.
